Bike Maryland Announces New Executive Director

Bike Maryland has announced the selection of Joshua Feldmark as its new Executive Director. Feldmark succeeds Steve Miller, who will remain with the organization as an active volunteer.

Feldmark brings 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and government sectors, having served as the founding director of Maryland’s first local government sustainability office and as the Executive Director of a DC-based environmental nonprofit. Feldmark comes with a strong background in nonprofit management, program development, policy advocacy, and organization development. He holds a master’s degree in environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School and a bachelor’s degree in human ecology from Rutgers University.

“From Cumberland to Ocean City, from Towson to Rockville, and of course in Annapolis and Baltimore, Bike Maryland is preparing to make us the bike friendliest state in the Union,” said Feldmark. “I am excited to dedicate myself to this effort, and I look forward to working in partnership with the many organizations across the state which share our common goal. A bike friendly Maryland is healthier, cleaner, and safer for everyone.”

Bike Maryland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999. Our mission is to promote bicycling, increase safety, improve conditions, and provide a voice for bicyclists in Maryland.
