The weekend of June 25th is shaping up to be a major bike weekend in the region, so it needs its own post for all of the information!
June 24-27: Race Across America finishers will cross the finish line at City Dock in Annapolis. RAAM is looking for volunteers to take on four hour shifts at the finish line to make sure that there are always volunteers to great these exhausted riders after their 3,020 mile race. Volunteer here.
June 25: The Garrett County Gran Fondo is one of the most challenging rides in the region. Spots are filling up, so join while you can! See the best that Garrett County has to offer and spend a weekend in Deep Creek. The weekend finishes up with the Race-Up-The-Face run up the Wisp ski slope and the Taste of Garrett. Register here. Emily, our advocacy coordinator, will be there, will you?
June 25: Emmitsburg Community Heritage Day has a lot of riding opportunities for you to explore historic Emmitsburg and the beautiful terrain around it. There will be three mountain bike rides at Rainbow Lake, a kids’ mountain bike ride, a bike safety rodeo with our education coordinator, Brian, and a 1-mile, 5-mile, and 25-mile bike ride. See the schedule here.
June 25: Baltimore Bikes and Beers is a ride through Baltimore City that stops off for responsible tastings at Heavy Seas and Peabody Heights. Post-ride, every rider will have a pint of their choice from Union Craft. We are looking for volunteers to help us out. Register here and email Emily at emily@bikemd.org if you can volunteer.
