Who to Contact?

To determine who to contact you need to know if the road is a state or county-maintained road. Generally speaking, if the road is a numbered road then it is maintained by the state, otherwise it is maintained by the county.

The Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA) maintains the State’s non-tolled numbered routes and interstates. Please note, Bike Maryland does not have affiliation with maintenance of routes and interstates and will not be able to expedite any requests so please use the online reporting service found below.

Allegany County

Contact the Road Division of the Allegany County Public Works Department at 301-777-5955

Anne Arundel County

Contact the appropriate road district based on the location of the road. Road districts are open from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday

Baltimore County

Baltimore City

Road problems in Baltimore City can be reported within Baltimore City by dialing 311 or (443) 263-2220 (if you are outside of Baltimore City)Problems can also be reported online by submitting a service request through 311 Online
